James Bantone’s artistic practice is an ongoing exploration and unsettling look at identity obsession. His installations blend photography, sculpture, and video to create poetic explorations of anonymity, alternative perspectives, and subjectivity. Bantone reimagines bodies, objects, and clothing in absurd and unconventional ways, challenging established norms. By appropriating the “tools of the fashion world” and, at times, perverting their application, Bantone approaches a new method of representation wrapped in layers of refusal.
